Hungary is famous all over the world for its thermal baths and spa culture has always been an integral part of the our culture and history. The first baths were opened by the Romans, and the spa culture was later revived during the Turkish Invasion - some bathouses built in that era are still functioning, like Király and Rudas Baths. The second golden age of baths came in the 19th century, when Gellért, Lukács és Széchenyi baths opened - they are still popular places to visit by both tourists and locals. One of the most magical thing in Budapest is that you can not only dive in thermal water, but in history as well.
