Established in 1957, the Hungarian National Gallery is a national art museum which displays works from Hungarian sculptors, painters (among others internationally renowned Mihály Munkácsy) from various eras from medieval times up to the present day. The Hungarian National Gallery can be found in the Castle of Buda where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the city. The gallery has a collection of 110 000 unique artefacts that reveal a lot about Hungarian art.
